Baked Pork Chops

When you’ve been out running around all day, trying to find shoes that fit your kids feet who magically grew over night and no longer fit in his current shoes, while also running to the bank, putting another load of laundry into the wash, feeding the kids, re washing that laundry you put in earlier because you forgot about it, and juggling all those other things your obligated to to as a mom..

…the last thing you want or have the energy for in the evening is a long drawn out dinner recipe thats going to trap you in the kitchen for an hour.

I love this pork chop recipe because it’s simple and is ready in no time at all. Bonus, my family loves it and I have no doubt yours will too.

I served mine the other day with my green bean side dish, and a super easy but satisfying salad.

try it out, let me know what you think !

Ingredients

5 or 6 Pork chops 1 quarter inch thick, bone in k

1 Tbs Garlic Powder

1 Tbs Onion Powder

1 Tbs Smoked Paprika

1 tsp Salt

1 C Garlic and herb bread crumbs

1 C Flour

3 Tbs Parmesan cheese, grated

2 Eggs

1 Tbs Water

Oil for frying

Directions

Set your pork chops on the counter to bring them to room temp. before cooking.

Add about a quarter cup of oil to a pan for frying and heat to medium high (I use a cast iron skillet but you can use a regular nonstick)

Grab three shallow dishes for breading. (I just use whatever reusable plastic containers i can find..no fancy dish ware necessary)

So you grab your containers and line them up. in one you put your flour along with a pinch of salt. In another, beat together eggs and water. In the last container add in the bread crumbs and parmesan cheese, mix.

Take your tongs and grab one of your pork chops, dip it first in the flour, flip to coat. Shake loose any excess flour. Dip into Egg mixture, flip to coat. Dip into breadcrumb mixture, flip to coat Shake off excess breadcrumbs. Finally place pork chop in hot oil.

Cook pork chops 4-5 min per side

Tips:

  • If pork chops are browning too fast, turn down the heat a little.
  • Do not crowd the pork chops, they will not brown
  • While cooking pork chops, keep finished meat in a warm oven until all are done cooking and ready to serve
